We are your family doctor and attending physician (Family medicine, Internal medicine, Pediatrics)

The medical system in the United States differs from that of Japan. When becoming ill or getting injured, an examination by the appropriate specialist or sub-specialist is required because American physicians specialize in medical fields that are subdivided into narrow categories. The patient may sometimes need to see several specialists, in which case, medical fees will have to be paid separately to each one.

A family doctor is someone that you and your family see on a regular basis for checkups and other medical needs. Regardless of the types of symptoms you may be experiencing, visiting your family doctor is the first step to take. Once your physician examines you, he or she will determine the type of treatment that may be required, and refer you to the appropriate specialists and/or hospitals for hospitalization or surgery, as the case may be. Having a family doctor who understands you and your family’s medical history will not only ease your mind, it will greatly expedite your medical care. In particular, Japanese expatriates tend to experience uncertainty and anxiety due to language barriers and cultural differences. But at Nihon Clinic, we can set your mind at ease. We have on staff Japanese family doctors who have a thorough knowledge of the medical systems of both Japan and the United States, and who can offer topnotch medical care to our patients. In concert with hospitals throughout the United States, we are set up to answer your questions and meet your health and medical needs at any time. You can feel secure in the knowledge that our doctors can offer you medical advice 24 hours a day.
